On 2 Aug, Ms. Panida Mongkonsawat, MP for Samut Prakan and Deputy Spokesperson of the People's Party (PChon), posted on Facebook regarding Mr. Thanyawat Kamlongwat, former party-list MP from the Future Forward and Move Forward Parties, who called on PChon to publicly clarify after sexual harassment allegations appeared in the book 'The People Who Do Not Surrender' by Ms. Thisana Chunhawat, former Bangkok MP of PChon. This issue has attracted attention on social media. She stated that based on publicly available information, the People's Party has sent an invitation letter to Ms. Thisana, now a party member, to provide information for the party to proceed accordingly.
Ms. Panida added that the People's Party confirms it takes all complaints related to sexual harassment or violence seriously to obtain comprehensive and fair information. She reaffirmed that the party has maintained standards in handling such matters continuously.
