Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul personally visited the crime scene and expressed condolences to the victims' families, apologizing to Russian tourists and citizens. He emphasized that this was the act of an individual criminal, not reflective of Thailand’s overall safety. He also stated his firm position against sentence reductions for heinous crimes, ordered a review of legal enforcement for ex-convicts committing repeat offenses, and confirmed that Thailand retains the death penalty under the law, with sentencing at the court's discretion.

She also ordered progress reports to be issued following journalistic ethics, avoiding violent images or content that violates the dignity of the deceased and their families. The 'Sure Before Share' center at the Thai News Agency was tasked to verify fake news and misinformation about the case circulating online, to promptly build correct understanding in society. She has followed the case from day one and understands the public’s anger from the loss and the fact that a previously convicted offender reoffended leading to five deaths.
