“Kardee” highlights the vision of the “New Democrat Party” by developing youth through the DIP project to drive data-driven policies.
On 2 Aug 2026 GMT+7 at the Parliament, Ms. Kardee Liaopiroj, Deputy Leader of the Democrat Party, served as a speaker for the DIP Internship Program under the party's Blue Academy. She shared insights on "DATA-DRIVEN x FUTURE-ORIENTED POLICY," focusing on helping youth understand the crucial role of accurate policy data that is actionable and meets the decision-making needs of the House of Representatives efficiently.
Ms. Kardee emphasized that public policy work should not stop at problem identification but must advance to concrete proposals that consider long-term national development through the core concept of “DATA x FORESIGHT.” Participants practiced using three key tools:
• Trend Scanning (STEEPV) to scan trends and signals of change from multiple perspectives.
• Futures Wheel to analyze cascading impacts from changes through to systemic transitions.
• Action Matrix & Policy Intervention to prioritize policies and design government intervention mechanisms.
This event gave youth the chance to experience the real space of national development, reflecting the image of the “New Democrat Party” using the DIP platform to upgrade policy design to be timely, build a strong data foundation, and enable reasoned, transparent, and verifiable parliamentary deliberations.
Ms. Kardee concluded with a policy principle: “In looking to the future, it is better to make forecasts close to reality than to do nothing at all, which is a serious mistake.”
