At 12:10 p.m. on 3 Aug 2026 at the Parliament, Krawit Prasarnanantakul, Member of Parliament for Ang Thong representing Bhumjaithai Party, spoke about the progress of legal action against Yingcheep Atchanont, manager of the Internet for People's Law Project (iLaw), who revealed evidence in the Senate vote-rigging case. He said he has assigned lawyers in Ang Thong province to handle the case because accusations have been made against him and Bhumjaithai Party. While he would not be concerned if it were a personal matter, since the party and he as an executive committee member have been accused, legal proceedings are necessary. He noted all allegations are old and that he has already explained everything to the Election Commission (EC). The case is currently under EC review, and he trusts the EC to be fair to all sides. He urged people to focus on factual evidence rather than emotions, feelings, or political games. Regarding concerns that the case might be prematurely closed without reaching the top levels, if the EC decides the case, it should uphold fairness for all. He stated that from the party leader to executives, Bhumjaithai has been treated as a social defendant but insists on their innocence, although some in society have already judged them. He calls for fairness and confirms full cooperation with the EC without worry.

Krawit also responded to criticism of Newin Chidchob, president of Buriram United Football Club, for wearing shorts during the City Pillar Shrine ceremony in Nakhon Si Thammarat, which some viewed as inappropriate and potentially damaging to Bhumjaithai Party's image. He explained that it was an activity organized by Buriram United Football Club to pay respects to the sacred site in Nakhon Si Thammarat. It was a football club event, not an official government ceremony. He asked society to differentiate between political matters and sports activities. Newin attended as the football club president, not as a member of Bhumjaithai Party, and he urged people to keep these issues separate.
