Prits Not Concerned About Defamation Suit, Reveals New Evidence of Senate Election Collusion with Identical Candidate Lists in Group 13

Prits is undeterred by a defamation lawsuit filed by Songsak and proceeds to reveal new evidence of collusion in the Senate election, presenting proof that candidate numbers for Group 13 were chosen exactly as on the lists. He urges the Election Commission to submit the case to court for examination and verification.

On 3 Aug 2026 GMT+7, Mr. Prits Watcharasindhu, a party-list MP from the Prachachon Party, posted on Facebook about a criminal defamation complaint filed by lawyer for Deputy Prime Minister Songsak Thongsri at Bueng Kan Province. The suit stems from former Senate candidate Sananchai Chuayudomthanikit's statement at the opposition whip's forum, alleging a scheme led by Senator Sorachart Vichaya Suwanphrom to organize and pay people to run for Senate seats. Sorachart reportedly made phone calls to then Deputy Minister of Interior Songsak to report the names of candidates involved in this scheme. Prits affirmed that being sued by government insiders would not stop him from pursuing the investigation into Senate election fraud. Today, he disclosed new nationwide Senate ballot data indicating links between Sorachart and Pornperm Thongsri, Senator and elder brother of Songsak. Both ran as Group 13 Senate candidates; in the final nationwide round, Sorachart (number 111) was elected first in Group 13 with the highest votes, while Pornperm (number 65) was second. These two senators collaborated in the vote-rigging scheme.

1. Various collected lists show that in almost every Group 13 list, candidate numbers for Sorachart and Pornperm appear together. Each of the four lists contains five candidate numbers per group, as voters could only select five candidates per group in the final cross-group selection round. The lists are as follows: List A: 65-111-36-123-1; List B: 65-111-36-123-9; List C: 65-111-36-123-39; List D: 65-111-123-1-9.

2. Sorachart and Pornperm received most of their votes from candidates who voted for both of them, rather than only one. Sorachart obtained 66 votes, Pornperm 60. Preliminary ballot checks show that 44 candidates voted for both, representing 67% of Sorachart's votes and 73% of Pornperm's votes, indicating coordinated voting between them.

3. Many ballot numbers correspond clearly to the ordered candidate numbers on the lists. For example, List A (65-111-36-123-1) matches exactly 11 ballots selecting these five candidates, with 8 ballots choosing them in the precise listed order. Similarly, List B (65-111-36-123-9) matches 9 ballots exactly and 7 ballots with the exact order. List C (65-111-36-123-39) matches 5 ballots exactly and 4 with the exact order. List D (65-111-123-1-9) matches 5 ballots exactly and 3 with the exact order.

All this evidence strongly suggests the existence of a Senate vote-rigging scheme. If so, it must be emphasized that the Election Commission’s role is not to conclusively prove the facts but, according to Senate Election Act Section 62, to forward the matter to the court for thorough consideration of any wrongdoing.
