'A. Chen Yotsanan' dismisses rumors of an 'Orange-Green-Red Government,' affirming that Pheu Thai is a strong coalition party. He urges the public not to worry and vows to perform his duties to the fullest.
At 10:50 a.m. on 4 August 2026 GMT+7, Mr. Yotsanan Wongsawat, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation, gave an interview regarding Ms. Sirikanya Tansakul, a party-list Member of Parliament and Deputy Leader of the Prachachon Party, not ruling out the formation of the 'Orange-Green-Red Government.' Regarding the 'Orange-Green-Red Government' concept, he stated that this issue should be viewed in two parts: public service work. In the past, we faced issues related to the economy and disaster management for floods and droughts. Regardless, the government must remain united. He emphasized that political news should not disrupt the government's working atmosphere. He reiterated that currently, Pheu Thai is working fully as a coalition party to help the public overcome various crises.
On the political side where news has emerged, he said personally he was unaware of this news and that they take responsibility for their current actions. He added that since they have declared coalition membership, they will work wholeheartedly. Concerning the relationship between Pheu Thai and Bhumjaithai Party, he and Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, collaborate fully.
When asked if Pheu Thai and the Kla Party can work together, Mr. Yotsanan declined to comment on that matter but emphasized that his side works with the government as a strong coalition partner and urged the public not to worry. Regarding who holds decision-making power within Pheu Thai on this issue, he said he prefers to separate the roles: as an advisor to Pheu Thai and as Deputy Prime Minister responsible for government administration, where he commits to performing his duties fully.
However, when asked if he had discussed the rumors with Ms. Paethongtarn Shinawatra, former Prime Minister, Mr. Yotsanan declined to answer and immediately left the interview.
