Pakorn discussed the final local exam fraud investigation meeting before submitting to the Prime Minister, assuring no matter will be overlooked and declaring from now on, everyone faces their own consequences without exception.
At 1:30 p.m. on 4 Aug 2026 GMT+7 at the Government House, Pakorn Nilprapunt, Deputy Prime Minister for Legal Affairs, chaired the fourth and final meeting of the committee investigating fraud in the 2025 local civil service recruitment exams, with all related agencies attending together.
Before the meeting, Pakorn said this fourth meeting would conclude the subcommittee’s monitoring and include supporting documents such as witness statements and contracts. These documents will undergo final review and be reported to the Prime Minister. Many files contain names of involved persons and must remain confidential for the relevant agencies to investigate and act accordingly.
After the meeting, I and the committee will summarize the findings, which will be familiar but include detailed facts and recommendations. The related matters await the Prime Minister’s directives. I assure you we are not overlooking any issue. This is a very important matter involving fact-finding we hope will restore the local civil servants’ image, reveal processes involved, and serve as lessons to prevent future incidents.
Past matters will be handled appropriately, including those who committed or participated in fraud. We only reveal the facts; from there, each faces their own consequences. I thank the National Police Chief for leading efforts, the Secretary-General of the Public Sector Anti-Corruption Commission, colleagues from the Civil Service Commission, and all involved agencies—especially the police, notably Pol. Col. Uthen Nuipin, Deputy Commander of Provincial Police Region 6 and spokesperson for the fact-finding committee. I jokingly warned not to cross him; he investigates thoroughly and is formidable but beneficial for the country.
