
The Ministry of Tourism teams up with the Ministry of Digital Economy and Society to drive the establishment of a domestic tourist data center, aiming to facilitate travelers.
On 4 Aug 2026 GMT+7, at the Ministry of Digital Economy and Society, Mr. Surasak Pancharoenworakul, Minister of Tourism and Sports, met and held discussions with Mr. Chaichanok Chidchob, Minister of Digital Economy and Society (DE), along with executives, officials, and related agencies from both ministries.
This important meeting focused on advancing the "Domestic Tourist Data Center" project to quickly connect and integrate Thailand’s tourism data into a unified, systematic, and modern platform. They also considered integrating various government tourism applications into a single system to maximize convenience for citizens and tourists, enhance service efficiency, and improve the accuracy of national tourism data management.
This collaboration lays the foundation for critical tourism data infrastructure, aiming to truly promote Thailand’s tourism through a Data-Driven Tourism policy. Both ministries expressed their commitment to continuously advance digital technology cooperation to modernize the tourism database. This will serve as a key tool for policy formulation, strategic planning, boosting global competitiveness, and driving sustainable, strong growth of Thailand’s tourism industry over the long term.
