The Minister of Justice revealed that Phawut and Film Ratthapoom deny all allegations in the Forex case. Phawut is expected to provide further explanation within two weeks after an additional 33 million baht was discovered. He stated that the case file cannot yet be concluded due to ongoing expansion of evidence.
On 4 August 2026, Pol. Lt. Gen. Ruttapon Naowarat, Minister of Justice, spoke about Phawut Pongwittayaphanu, a party-list MP from the Prachachon Party, who came to acknowledge charges at the Department of Special Investigation (DSI). The DSI investigation found that financial data had changed from 28 million baht to 33 million baht, related to loan transactions, which requires further verification by the DSI.
Regarding whether the server of QRS Global provided any additional leads, Pol. Lt. Gen. Ruttapon said it contains all stored data, so the DSI is expected to obtain substantial information from that server, but details must be left to the DSI’s investigation.
When asked about when the case could be concluded and charges filed, Pol. Lt. Gen. Ruttapon said it is unlikely soon because evidence continues to expand. They are trying to bring in key persons involved for questioning.
They must also summon related persons, suspects, and witnesses for further questioning, and the number of witnesses is expected to increase. How the case will expand further is to be handled by the DSI first.
Regarding whether this summons of Phawut is the last, Pol. Lt. Gen. Ruttapon said it is uncertain, but he has been informed that Phawut will provide additional information again in two weeks. As far as is known, Phawut denies all allegations related to the scammer gang.
Meanwhile, Ratthapoom Tokongsap, known as Film Ratthapoom, a former famous actor, also denies the allegations.
