Ruttapon revealed that the DSI found Pawat’s financial trail increased from 28 million baht to 33 million baht. Pawat is preparing to provide further explanation in two weeks. However, the timing for concluding the case filing is still unknown due to ongoing expansion of evidence and investigations.
On 4 Aug 2026 GMT+7 at the Government House, Police Lieutenant General Ruttapon Naowarat, Minister of Justice, commented on MP Pawat Pongwitthayaphanu’s case. Pawat had acknowledged charges with the DSI. Ruttapon said that the DSI’s investigation found the financial data changed from 28 million baht to 33 million baht, related to loan transactions. The DSI must verify the facts further.
Regarding any new leads found on the QRS Global company server, Police Lieutenant General Ruttapon said it stores all data. Therefore, the DSI is expected to uncover significant clues from that server, but he asked that the DSI complete their investigation before disclosing details.
When asked about the summons for various suspects and when case filing might be finalized, Ruttapon responded that it is still premature. Evidence keeps expanding, and they are trying to question the main involved parties. They will also summon other related persons, suspects, and witnesses for further questioning. The scope of witnesses is likely to expand, but how it will develop is for the DSI to decide.
When asked if the upcoming summons for Pawat would be the last, Ruttapon said it is uncertain. He reported that Pawat is expected to provide additional information in two weeks. As far as he knows, Pawat denies all allegations related to the scammer gang.
Meanwhile, Ratphum Tokongsap, also known as Film Ratphum, a former politician and well-known actor, has already provided explanations to the DSI and also denies any allegations related to this case.
