The Prime Minister ordered a check on the personal data leak, instructing relevant agencies to investigate. He nodded in acknowledgment and explained that the ID card photo in the orange shirt was taken long ago.
At 10:00 on 5 Aug 2026 GMT+7 at the Government House, Prime Minister and Interior Minister Anutin Charnvirakul chaired the weekly Cabinet meeting after returning from a mission in Indonesia.
Before the meeting, reporters asked about the government data leak case. When asked if he really wore the orange shirt in the ID card photo, the Prime Minister nodded and briefly said, "That photo was taken a long time ago."
When asked what actions had been ordered regarding the data leak, the Prime Minister said that relevant agencies must investigate how the data was leaked, confirm if it was a real leak, and check whether protective systems are in place.
When reporters further asked if he now knew which agency the data leak came from and whether the leaked data was truly his, the Prime Minister listened but did not answer before entering the Cabinet meeting room.
