Sihasak Reveals Halun Solo Body to Arrive in Thailand Tomorrow Morning Official Cause of Death Still Undetermined

Sihasak revealed that the body of Halun Solo will return to Thailand tomorrow morning before being handed over to relatives for further action, with an autopsy expected. The official cause of death has not yet been concluded, and full coordination with Georgia for investigation is ongoing.


5 Aug 2026 GMT+7 Mr. Sihasak Puangketkaew, Minister of Foreign Affairs, spoke at the Government House regarding the progress in bringing back the body of Mr. Bowornthat Pengsuk, also known as Halun Solo, a Thai travel YouTuber, who died in Georgia. The body will arrive in Thailand tomorrow morning (6 August) at 05:15. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has facilitated coordination with Georgian authorities to repatriate the body. Once it arrives in Thailand, it will be up to the family to decide on further procedures, with an autopsy planned initially.

Regarding updates from Georgia, Mr. Sihasak stated that Georgian authorities are still finalizing and reviewing certain matters, which has led to the temporary retention of Halun Solo's possessions. When asked whether the Thai Ministry of Foreign Affairs has raised any objections or additional concerns, Mr. Sihasak said they have requested Georgia to conduct a thorough investigation.

Concerning the cause of death, Mr. Sihasak noted that it is not yet time to disclose details, as they need to consult with the family about the situation after the body's return. Currently, there is no official conclusion.
