On 5 August 2026, Sakoltee Pattiyakul, party-list MP and deputy leader of the Democrat Party, in his role as chair of the Public Health Committee of the House of Representatives, accepted complaints from affected individuals regarding identity fraud and false medical data entry into the 'Mor Prom' and government applications. The victims' investigations revealed discrepancies in medical treatment histories, health screenings, diagnoses, and medication records. In some cases, treatment and drug reimbursements dated back to 2018 were falsely recorded. They urged the Public Health Committee to urgently verify the facts and summon related agencies for explanation.
Sakoltee stated that the committee meeting will gather detailed information from the victims about which hospitals were involved. They plan to issue an invitation to the Minister of Public Health and responsible agencies to provide information. It is expected that the meeting on 27 August 2026 will clarify the issue. This problem severely undermines public trust in the state healthcare system, and those responsible must be identified regardless of intent.
Raphassit Pattharisrichaisin, vice-chair of the Foundation for Social Justice Restoration and lead complainant, said this issue poses long-term risks to citizens’ personal data. He called on the committee to summon all relevant parties for a comprehensive investigation, including the Minister of Public Health, permanent secretary, ministry executives, the app development team, and the Personal Data Protection Committee (PDPC).
One victim reported that after the incident, their mother received threatening phone calls from hospital staff aimed at pressuring them not to pursue legal action or lodge complaints for investigation. This caused the family to fear for their safety, prompting them to submit a complaint to the Public Health Committee seeking protection and justice.
