Chulalongkorn University sent a team to surprise Prime Minister Anutin by waving a large flag accompanied by a royal composition, cheering “Pee Noo, keep fighting” to encourage the Prime Minister to lead Thailand through the crisis.
On 5 Aug 2026 GMT+7, reporters reported that the Facebook page of the Chulalongkorn University Alumni Association shared scenes from 31 July 2026 GMT+7 at the Faculty of Engineering auditorium (Hall of INTANIA) where, in addition to the grand national forum "The INTANIA Forum: SURVIVING UNDER THE NEW WORLD ORDER," led by Assistant Professor Dr. Wutipong Kittithanesaworn, president of the Chulalongkorn Engineering Alumni Association (CEAA),
there was also a special moment noted by the Chulalongkorn alumni association. “It became a warm and memorable image of the evening when the five-member CHULA Colorguard team lined up waving large flags featuring various expressions of His Excellency Anutin Charnvirakul, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, accompanied by the royal composition 'Yim Su' (Smile to Fight), to send off the chairman after completing his duties at the event.”
The five flags were specially designed for this occasion to depict the government’s five flagship policies under the concept “Sending Support to the Prime Minister,” including Thai Help Thai Plus, Eradicate Drugs, Conquer Crime, First 200 Units No More Than 3 Baht, Healthcare Everywhere, and CHIP MADE IN THAILAND. As the music played and the flags waved, the audience enthusiastically recorded the special moment on their phones. The highlight came at the end of the performance when the students simultaneously shouted, “INTANIA cheers Pee Noo, keep fighting!”
Arthidn Prautthithaveewat, known as Nong Bank, a fourth-year student in the Faculty of Allied Health Sciences at Chulalongkorn University and representative of CHULA Colorguard, said, “The royal composition 'Yim Su' from King Rama IX carries deep meaning, conveying encouragement to workers to face obstacles with a smile. The national leader, who is steering Thailand through crises and the disorderly world, also needs encouragement. That’s why we came to send and show our support to Pee Noo.”
The page also noted that when the Prime Minister saw the performance, he smiled broadly, greeted and thanked the young performers warmly, then asked to keep all five flags as souvenirs. He also gave watches as gifts “in exchange,” eliciting cheers and smiles from attendees. This became one of the most talked-about moments of the event’s conclusion.
CHULA Colorguard is a group of socially active students from CUTE Academy who use flag performances to creatively advocate for social causes and continuously engage in volunteer activities like CU Blood. They are considered a (not so) secret weapon of the Chulalongkorn Alumni Association under the patronage of the King (CAA) led by president Dr. Natthapon Rangsitpol, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Industry, who led the team to add color to this intense national vision forum, blending smiles with Chulalongkorn camaraderie.
