Worasit Confirms Local Exam Fraud Removal of 5,925 Names Finalized Today

Worasit confirmed that the Central Committee on Local Government Employee Competitive Exams will conclude today with the removal of 5,925 names involved in fraud in local government official exams.

On 5 Aug 2026 GMT+7 at Government House, Deputy Minister of Interior Worasit Liangprasert spoke about the progress of removing 5,925 names due to fraud in local government official exams, saying everything will be finalized in today's meeting of the Central Committee on Local Government Employee Competitive Exams (K.Sor.Tor.), and the remaining procedures will be completed properly.

When asked if Deputy Prime Minister Pakorn Nilprapunt had reported the fact-finding and legal review of the local government official exam fraud case to the Prime Minister, Worasit said he understood discussions were ongoing.

When asked if the K.Sor.Tor. chairman would sign off on removing all 5,925 names today, Worasit confirmed this. On 6 Aug 2026 GMT+7, the results will be reported to the Central Committee on Local Officials (K.Klang) for referral to the Provincial Local Officials Committee (K.Jang), and today the committee will acknowledge the cancellation procedures. He added that he will chair the K.Klang meeting on 6 Aug 2026 GMT+7, as Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul has assigned the supervising minister to chair in his stead.
