Prime Minister Inspects Preparations for Min Aung Hlaings Visit, Plans Full Meeting and MOU Signing on Assistance

Anutin inspects preparations to welcome Min Aung Hlaing during his official visit to Thailand for full bilateral talks, followed by a signing ceremony and dinner.


On 5 August 2026, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul visited the lawn in front of Thai Khu Fah Building at Government House to check the arrangements for the welcoming ceremony of Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, President of Myanmar, on his official visit to Thailand from 6 to 7 August 2026. The Prime Minister confirmed the readiness for the official welcome, noting a red carpet will be laid out to receive him with full honors, before returning to his duties inside Thai Khu Fah Building.


The schedule for 6 August 2026 includes a 10:20 a.m. honor guard ceremony on the lawn in front of Thai Khu Fah Building. At 10:30 a.m., the Prime Minister and Myanmar President will take a group photo at the staircase hall of Thai Khu Fah Building and sign the guest book. This will be followed by both small and full delegation talks. In the afternoon, the Prime Minister and Myanmar President will witness the signing of agreements and exchange of memorandums of understanding (MOUs), as well as a ceremony for providing assistance at Santi Maitri Building. In the evening, the Prime Minister will host a dinner in honor of the Myanmar President and his delegation at Santi Maitri Building.
