The government has upgraded the Department of Lands by launching online land registration services across all 77 provinces, while also transforming the Bangkok Land Office into a fully electronic system. Contract parties and witnesses can sign within the system, enabling faster processing and reducing paperwork.
On 6 Aug 2026 GMT+7, Ms. Ploytale Lakshamisangchan, Deputy Spokesperson of the Prime Minister's Office, stated that the government prioritizes digital government development by applying technology to genuinely solve problems and benefit the public. This includes reducing unnecessary steps, linking data across agencies, and designing services based on the needs of citizens and businesses to minimize procedural delays, duplicate document submissions, or contacting multiple agencies for the same service. These measures aim to facilitate quicker public access to government services.
Ms. Ploytale said that the government, through the Department of Lands under the Ministry of Interior, is driving digital government policies by offering fully online electronic land office services covering all 77 provinces, totaling 462 offices nationwide. Additionally, the Bangkok Land Office and its 17 branches have been upgraded to fully electronic land offices. Investigators, authorized registrars, applicants, contract parties, and witnesses can all digitally sign within the system to improve operational efficiency, reduce paper usage, and enhance service quality to be more convenient, faster, transparent, and secure for the public.
Citizens can submit applications for registration of rights and legal transactions at their preferred land office without needing to travel to the land office where the property is located, under criteria and conditions set by the Department of Lands. This reduces travel burden, time, and costs associated with government services. Those interested can apply via the e-QLands Plus application, available on both iOS and Android, by selecting the “Online Different Office Registration Appointment” menu.
