The Prime Minister welcomed Min Aung Hlaing, President of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, on the occasion of his official visit to Thailand, including an inspection of the honor guard troops before attending full delegation talks and signing an MOU.
At 10:25 a.m. on 6 August 2026 at the Government House, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul welcomed Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, President of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, on his official visit to Thailand as a guest of the government from 6-7 August 2026. Also present to welcome him were Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sihasak Phuangketkaew, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Akniti Nitithanprapas, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Commerce Supachai Sutthumpun, Minister of Defence Lieutenant General Adul Boonthamcharoen, Minister of Justice Police Lieutenant General Ruthaphon Naowarat, Minister of Natural Resources and Environment Suchart Chomklin, Minister of Labour Julaphan Amornwiwat, Minister of Energy Aknat Promphan, Deputy Minister of Transport Patthapong Pataraprasit, Deputy Minister of Interior Jeset Thaises, along with military leaders and the delegation.
Following that, the Prime Minister and the President of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar jointly participated in the official welcome ceremony and inspection of the honor guard troops on the lawn in front of the Thai Khu Fah Building. Afterwards, the Prime Minister invited Senior General Min Aung Hlaing to the Thai Khu Fah Building at the Government House to take a group photo on the central staircase, sign the government guestbook, and view the commemorative gifts exchanged by both parties.
The Prime Minister and Senior General Min Aung Hlaing then held small-group official talks in the Thai Khu Fah Building, followed by full delegation discussions at 11:20 a.m. in the Green Room of the same building.
At 12:15 p.m., the Prime Minister and the President of the Union of Myanmar jointly witnessed the signing ceremony of agreements and exchange of memoranda of understanding, as well as the handover ceremony of bilateral assistance at the Santi Maitri Building (Rear).
