Meeting Begins: Central Committee Discusses Revoking 5,925 Local Exam Cheaters

The meeting has begun with Worasit leading the Central Committee to acknowledge the KSoT resolution revoking 5,925 local exam cheaters, while the Ministry of Interior's Permanent Secretary confirmed the matter will be concluded today.


At 1:00 p.m. on 6 Aug 2026 GMT+7 at the Department of Local Administration (DLA), Worasit Liangprasert, Deputy Minister of Interior, chaired the 7/2026 Central Committee meeting for local civil servants or employees (Central Committee) to consider the resolution of the Central Local Employee Examination Committee (KSoT) to cancel the previous local employee exam candidate list and announce a new list for 2025. Present were Arit Sampantharat, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Interior; Nirat Pongsitthaworn, Deputy Permanent Secretary acting as DLA Director-General; Wanchai Chanporn, KSoT Chairman; Boonprasong Nuansai, DLA Deputy Director-General and KSoT Secretary; along with other Central Committee members.


Before the meeting, Worasit said the agenda is significant and large, requiring discussion to acknowledge the methods and procedures related to local civil service competitive exams. On 5 Aug 2026, the KSoT held a meeting, passed a resolution, and forwarded it to the Central Committee for consideration.


Meanwhile, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Interior spoke before the meeting.The meetingmust conclude this time. Discussions have covered operational procedures for the future, but it is confirmed that the figures follow the issued resolution and have been formally signed.


From the KSoT meeting summarizing competition results and candidate lists, 5,925 individuals were found to have had their exam scores altered.
