The government has expanded options for verifying corporate data, allowing users to purchase specific items from certification documents at 5 baht each, instead of paying a 30 baht flat fee per set, helping to reduce costs for citizens and the business sector.
On 7 Aug 2026 GMT+7, Ms. Lalida Pertvivattana, Deputy Spokesperson for the Prime Minister's Office, announced that the Cabinet approved the principle of a draft ministerial regulation setting fees and exemptions related to partnerships and limited companies, as proposed by the Ministry of Commerce, to provide more options and reduce expenses for the public and businesses accessing corporate data linkage services.
The Deputy Spokesperson said that currently, users accessing data from the Department of Business Development's system must pay 30 baht per data set, even if they only need some items. This draft regulation introduces a service fee allowing users to purchase individual certification data items at 5 baht each, while still permitting purchase of the full data set at the existing 30 baht rate.
The certification data available for individual purchase includes the company name, director names, director authority, registered capital, headquarters and branch office locations, as well as the objectives of the partnership or limited company. This measure will help operators and agencies needing specific information avoid paying for full data sets unnecessarily.
"Previously, if one needed to verify only the director authority, they had to pay the full 30 baht for the entire set. Now, users can select only the data they require at 5 baht per item, reducing costs for corporate data checks and supporting more convenient, tailored data linkage between the government and businesses," she explained.
The Deputy Spokesperson added that other fees, such as registration fees for partnerships or limited companies, certificate requests, document inspections, and certified document copies, remain unchanged. The draft regulation also removes provisions on a 50% discount for electronic corporate registration fees that expired on 31 Dec 2023, updating the law to reflect current conditions without cancelling discounts still available to the public.
The Ministry of Commerce estimates that introducing item-based fees will reduce government fee revenue by about 724,200 baht compared to 2024–2025 usage data, but will lower costs for citizens and businesses, encourage use of reliable electronic data, and support the advancement of digital government services.
The Cabinet also tasked the Ministry of Commerce with considering recommendations from the National Economic and Social Development Council, especially on linking electronic corporate registration systems with related agencies like the Revenue Department and Social Security Office, to develop seamless services that reduce redundant data submissions, simplify procedures, and facilitate faster, more cost-effective business startups.
