Deputy Minister Akkanat ordered the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Education and the Secretary-General of the Basic Education Commission to urgently coordinate assistance for the injured and families of the deceased from the shooting at Thepsirin School in Nonthaburi. He expressed his deepest condolences.
On 7 August 2026, Mr. Akkanat Kankittinan, Deputy Minister of Education, posted a message regarding the shooting at Thepsirin School in Nonthaburi, stating, “I express my deepest condolences to the families of the deceased and
offer encouragement to all officials who are currently working to control the situation.
As I am currently on duty as head of the Thai delegation attending the international Scout jamboree in the United Kingdom, I have, in my capacity as Director of the Ministry of Education’s Rights Protection Center, coordinated with the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry and the Secretary-General of the Basic Education Commission to urgently provide assistance on the ground.”
