The Central Administrative Court has ordered a suspension of the enforcement of the announcement delaying the Social Security Board election until a final judgment or another court order is issued. The election process must continue until then.
On 8 August 2026, reporters noted that the Facebook page of Progressive Social Security posted on 7 August that their team spent over 13 hours—from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 p.m.—at the Central Administrative Court hearing their lawsuit to revoke the Social Security Election Commission’s announcement delaying the election, which was based on a court order.
At approximately 11:15 p.m. that day, the court issued an order suspending the enforcement of the disputed announcement. In practice, the election must proceed until the court issues a judgment or a different order. The final hearing is scheduled for 11 August at 3:00 p.m.
Meanwhile, Mr. Sattharam Thammabutsadee of the Progressive Social Security team posted on Facebook that on that day they gave testimony at the Central Administrative Court from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., then waited for the court’s order until 11:00 p.m. The court granted a temporary injunction suspending enforcement of the election delay announcement until a judgment or another order is issued.
The court’s order stated that the defendant gave testimony in Administrative Case No. 1320/2569 that the Social Security Office is responsible for creating and maintaining an up-to-date database of all three types of insured persons. The office is ready and able to retrieve insured persons’ data by province whenever needed. Therefore, the court’s suspension of enforcement of the disputed announcement does not impede government administration or public services.
Since the plaintiffs’ temporary relief request met all three required conditions, the court found sufficient grounds to suspend enforcement of the Social Security Election Commission’s announcement dated 27 July 2026, which delayed the election of employer and insured person representatives, until the case is finally resolved or the court issues another order.
This order was issued pursuant to Section 55 of the Administrative Court Act B.E. 2542 (1999) along with Clause 22, Paragraph 3 of the Supreme Administrative Court Judges’ Assembly regulations on administrative case procedures B.E. 2543 (2000).
Therefore, enforcement of the Social Security Election Commission’s announcement dated 27 July 2026, delaying the election of employer and insured person representatives, is temporarily suspended until the case is concluded or the court issues another order.
