Royal Appointment of Brigadier General Rank to Colonel Suphat Chutinan

The Royal Gazette published a royal decree granting the rank of "Brigadier General" to Colonel Suphat Chutinan, an operations officer at the Deputy Commander's Office of the Royal Guards Command 1.


On 8 August 2026, the Royal Gazette website published a royal decree conferring military officer ranks within the royal household and appointing positions, stating that a royal command has granted ranks and appointments to officers in the royal military service.


Under the authority of Section 15 of the 2017 Constitution of the Kingdom of Thailand, along with Sections 4 and 9 of the Royal Household Administration Act 2017, Sections 10, 13, and 15 of the Royal Decree on the Organization and Personnel Administration of the Royal Household 2017, and Section 5 of the Military Ranks Act 1936,


His Majesty graciously commanded the appointment of Colonel Suphat Chutinan, operations officer at the Deputy Commander's Office of the Royal Guards Command 1, Royal Guards Command, Royal Security Command (at the special colonel rank), to serve as operations officer at the Deputy Commander's Office of the Royal Guards Command 1, Royal Guards Command, Royal Security Command (at the brigadier general rank), and conferred the rank of Brigadier General upon him.


This appointment is effective from 4 August 2026.


The decree was announced on 7 August 2026, the 11th year of the current reign.
