Thammanat leads Kla Tham Party's southern campaign by setting up coordination centers throughout the region and launching the “Political Institute for Young Leaders.” The party establishes its presence in the three southern border provinces and four districts of Songkhla.
On 8 Aug 2026 GMT+7, Lieutenant Colonel Thammanat Phromphao, leader of the Kla Tham Party, chaired the first 2026 meeting of the Political Mission Management Task Force for the three southern border provinces at the Al-Fahaj Hotel in Hat Yai District, Songkhla. Attendees included party deputies such as Najmuddin Uma, Police Major General Surin Palare, Sergeant Major Yossing Liemlert, Samphan Mayuso, along with Paweena Hongsakul, party advisor, executive committee members, and all MPs from the southern border provinces.
The meeting's key agenda was appointing the management task force to oversee political missions in the three southern border provinces. The party approved plans to establish Kla Tham Party coordination centers in provinces with party MPs. These centers will act as links to the public, listening to problems and coordinating accessible, concrete assistance to local communities.
Additionally, the meeting endorsed creating the “Political Institute for Young Leaders” to elevate youth training projects into an official party political institute. This aims to develop youth and youth leaders locally through three core curricula, with strategic focus on education, law, religion, and culture.
The party plans to involve academic and social sectors in curriculum development and operations, partnering with four local universities, academic groups, Islamic boarding schools (Ponoh), and private religious schools to ensure youth development aligns with local context and community needs.
Meanwhile, the task force is preparing to hold an academic workshop with four universities across the three southern border provinces and four districts of Songkhla to gather feedback and plan joint actions moving forward.
After the meeting, Lieutenant Colonel Thammanat visited party leaders and MPs at the office of MP Dechism Khaothong in Khuha Tai Subdistrict, Rat Phatthana District, Songkhla, to discuss and monitor ongoing political work in the area.
Subsequently, the Kla Tham Party leader traveled to the office of MP Charan Chan-kaew in Pak Phayun District, Phatthalung Province, where over 30 Kla Tham Party MPs attended the event, joined by more than 10,000 local residents welcoming them.
