
Sophon Sarum visited five injured victims of the Thap Siri Nonthaburi shooting, paid respects to two deceased victims, and offered condolences and support to their families.
9 Aug 2026 GMT+7 Mr. Sophon Sarum, President of the Parliament and Speaker of the House of Representatives, traveled to Phra Mongkutklao Hospital to visit and encourage those injured in the shooting incident at Thap Siri School, Nonthaburi Province. He visited three injured patients there, presenting flowers and inquiring about their condition and treatment progress before proceeding to Siriraj Hospital to visit two more injured individuals.
Mr. Sophon offered encouragement to the injured, teachers, and families, hoping everyone would recover soon. He also thanked the medical teams, nurses, hospital staff, and all personnel involved in fully caring for and assisting those affected by the incident.
He then went to Wat Bot Bon in Bang Khu Wiang Subdistrict, Bang Kruai District, Nonthaburi, to pay respects to Second Lieutenant Nanthanatporn Nakphlang’s body, and to Wat Bang Oi Chang in Bang Si Thong Subdistrict, Bang Kruai District, Nonthaburi, to pay respects to Miss Praphaporn Konsila’s body, offering support to the families and relatives of the deceased.
Mr. Sophon expressed his deepest condolences to the bereaved families and extended encouragement to the injured, victims’ families, teachers, staff, and all personnel affected and working in response to this incident, in remembrance of those who passed and in support of the living.
