On 10 August 2026, reporters reported that on 7 August 2026 at 9:00 a.m., the Election Commission of Employer and Insured Representatives, chaired by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Labour, considered the election procedures for the Social Security Board members in accordance with the Administrative Court's stay order.
The meeting emphasized that the previous announcement delaying election procedures "does not constitute a postponement of the election date in any way" but rather a "delay of certain procedures that might conflict with the stay order issued by the Administrative Court," such as the announcement of the registered eligible voters originally scheduled for 10 August 2026, and the appeals process regarding that list. The election date remains unchanged on Sunday, 27 September 2026.
The announcement of candidates for employer and insured representatives will proceed as originally scheduled on 19 August 2026.
Meanwhile, other election preparations require the Social Security Office to fully prepare for the election. Regarding the list of eligible voters and their voting locations, the Social Security Office will compile a comprehensive list of all eligible voters without registration conditions, including adequately preparing venues and related election facilities. This follows the principle of maximizing participation and convenience for voters.
