On 10 August 2026, Chaiyachonok Chidchob, Minister of Digital Economy and Society and secretary-general of Bhumjaithai Party, addressed rumors that 10 Kla Party MPs from Ratchaburi, led by Boonying Nitikanjana, plan to join Bhumjaithai in the next election to boost the government's numbers. He said the government is currently very stable and secure—not only Bhumjaithai but all coalition parties are good allies—so he believes there are no stability issues. Regarding increasing numbers, he has not heard such talk and stressed there is no need to bring in other parties at this time.
Regarding earlier rumors suggesting a one-year timeframe is suitable for a cabinet reshuffle, Chaiyachonok clarified this does not mean a reshuffle must occur. Instead, it refers to allowing ministers time to prove their performance, as each ministry's responsibilities differ. Some tasks can be completed immediately; several ministers have already shown clear results while others are still working to build theirs.
Chaiyachonok added that one year is a sufficient period to demonstrate clear achievements. However, ultimately, it depends on the Prime Minister’s evaluation and necessity—sometimes a reshuffle may occur before one year has passed. The Prime Minister alone will assess each minister's performance.
"I am unsure where the rumors about Kla Party joining Bhumjaithai originated, but regarding strengthening stability, I reiterate that the government is already stable and secure," the Bhumjaithai secretary-general stated.
