The Government Gazette has published the announcement appointing Decharat Sukkamnerd as the spokesperson for the opposition leader in the House of Representatives.
On 11 August 2026, the Government Gazette website publishedan announcement from the House of Representatives regarding the appointment of a political parliamentary official.Signed by Mr. Sophon Sarum, Speaker of the House of Representatives, the announcement dated 11 June 2026 states: According to the Royal Command appointing the opposition leader in the House of Representatives, announced on 8 May 2026, pursuant to Section 106 of the Constitution of the Kingdom of Thailand,
and under the authority of Sections 92(10) and 95, paragraph one, of the Parliamentary Officials Act B.E. 2554 (2011), Mr. Decharat Sukkamnerd is hereby appointed as a political parliamentary official in the position of spokesperson for the opposition leader in the House of Representatives.
This appointment is effective retroactively from 14 May 2026 onward.
