On 12 August 2026, Asapol Santraipob, Member of Parliament for Sisaket from the Bhumjaithai Party and Chairman of the Anti-Corruption Commission Committee, updated on the DSI’s investigation into bribery in local exams in Sisaket Province. He urged the Department of Local Administration to promptly submit the names of 5,925 people involved in the corruption to five main investigative agencies—the NACC, AMLO, DSI, PACC, and the Crime Suppression Division—to examine financial trails, expand inquiries to accomplices, masterminds, and beneficiaries until fully resolved.
Asapol emphasized that following the signing of a joint MOU among these five agencies, the law must be enforced seriously with no exceptions. He called for expediting the case, which villagers reported since last year’s end, to be completed within 30 days as legally mandated. This aims to restore fairness to innocent exam candidates, giving them a fair chance at government employment based on merit, while ensuring corrupt individuals are removed from the system and prosecuted decisively under the law.
