Deputy Minister Worasit of the Ministry of Interior is advancing clarity in the local government examination system by opening a center for candidates not listed in the new successful candidates' roster to request a score review from 13 to 31 August, emphasizing that every step must be transparent and verifiable.
On 13 August 2026, Mr. Worasit Liangprasith, Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Interior, instructed the Department of Local Administration (DLA) to promote transparency in the competitive examination process for local government civil servants or employees for the year 2025, following the Central Committee on Local Government Personnel Examinations' decision on 7 August 2026 to annul part of the successful candidates' list and to compile a new list of successful candidates.
Recently, the DLA opened a “Score Review Request Center for Candidates Not Listed as Successful” to allow examinees excluded from the new list to verify their scores directly through official channels between 13 and 31 August 2026, from 08:30 to 16:30 on official working days.
Eligible applicants can submit requests through two channels: at the Suwatthana Building, 1st floor, Department of Local Administration, or at provincial local administration offices nationwide, facilitating candidates to verify their information without needing to travel to the central office.
Mr. Worasit stated that this opportunity for candidates to review their scores is a crucial step to clarify the examination process after irregularities were investigated and a new successful candidates' list was created. The key principle is that those with doubts must have a way to verify their results, and every step must be accountable and traceable.
“This matter must be handled clearly for both those under review and those affected by the examination process. We must enable everyone to officially verify their own information to foster understanding and confidence in the system,” he said.
The DLA has appointed a special committee to receive requests, verify, and disclose scores to applicants according to established criteria, compiling the results for report submission to the Director-General of the Department of Local Administration to ensure systematic, standardized, and verifiable operations.
Mr. Worasit emphasized that all procedures must adhere to the principles of accuracy, transparency, and verifiability by providing candidates clear access to their scores, allowing the local competitive examination process to proceed on a foundation of fairness and to build trust among examinees and the public.
Those wishing to review their scores may submit requests from 13 to 31 August 2026 during official working hours at the Suwatthana Building, 1st floor, Department of Local Administration, or at provincial local administration offices throughout the country.
