The Deputy Government Spokesperson revealed that sales at the "Artisans' Light of Thailand OTOP: United by Royal Grace" event exceeded 367 million baht over five days, with a single-day sales peak of 82.7 million baht on 12 August, sustaining continuous circulation of funds within the grassroots economy.
On 13 August 2026, Ms. Lalida Pertvivattana, Deputy Government Spokesperson for the Office of the Prime Minister, reported progress on the "Artisans' Light of Thailand OTOP: United by Royal Grace" event held from 8–16 August 2026 at IMPACT Muang Thong Thani. She stated that during the first five days (8–12 August 2026), cumulative sales amounted to 367,933,077 baht, reflecting strong public response to OTOP products and community wisdom goods nationwide.
The Deputy Government Spokesperson said the government under Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul prioritizes creating economic opportunities at the grassroots level by promoting OTOP products and local wisdom. This approach aims to expand market access, increase consumer reach, and directly generate income for entrepreneurs and communities. The positive response to this event demonstrates the tangible economic value Thai products can create.
On 12 August 2026 alone, sales totaled 82,735,853 baht, the highest since the event's opening. This included 73,952,767 baht from on-site sales, 5,779,439 baht from pre-orders, and 3,003,647 baht from online sales.
Daily sales from 8–12 August 2026 were as follows: 8 August, 70,728,357 baht; 9 August, 75,258,201 baht; 10 August, 70,015,308 baht; 11 August, 69,195,358 baht; and 12 August, 82,735,853 baht. This resulted in a cumulative five-day total of 367,933,077 baht.
By product category, most accumulated sales came from textiles and clothing at approximately 193.8 million baht, followed by food at about 66.7 million baht, household items around 41.7 million baht, non-food herbal products roughly 8.8 million baht, and beverages about 7.5 million baht.
"Sales exceeding 367 million baht in just five days demonstrate the power of OTOP goods and Thai wisdom to generate real income for entrepreneurs and communities. Notably, sales on 12 August alone surpassed 82.7 million baht. The government aims for the OTOP market to be a key mechanism for creating jobs, generating income, and continuously circulating funds within the grassroots economy," she said.
The "Artisans' Light of Thailand OTOP: United by Royal Grace" event continues until 16 August 2026. It gathers OTOP entrepreneurs nationwide, featuring artisan products, Thai textiles, handicrafts, food, and various community products. Visitors can also utilize the "Thai Help Thai Plus 60/40" program benefits during the event.
