Prime Minister Anutin emphasized that the exam fraud case involves no favoritism or influence. He pointed out that the Anti-Money Laundering Office, the National Anti-Corruption Commission, and the police are currently joining forces to investigate. He declared there is no ceiling—if it reaches someone, that person will be held accountable.
At 09:00 on 14 Aug 2026 GMT+7, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul spoke about the case after the STRONG Anti-Corruption Thailand page released chat messages alleging that a Satun provincial councilor acted as a broker aiding local exam fraud. He said he listens only to reports from officials he has formally appointed and cooperating agencies, such as the Anti-Money Laundering Office (AMLO), which is currently investigating. He also mentioned the National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC) is conducting inquiries, working together with police officers to expand the investigation.
The Prime Minister added that each agency has its own responsibilities, and they will compile the results. If any wrongdoing is found, the authorities will delegate the investigation and prosecution to the appropriate agencies.
"What is certain is that anyone who commits wrongdoing will be prosecuted. There are no exceptions, no favoritism, no influence, and no ceiling. Currently, some claim there is a ceiling at certain levels, but I can firmly say there is none. Whoever it is, that person will be held accountable."
