At 10:00 a.m. on 14 Aug 2026 GMT+7, at the Democrat Party headquarters, spokesman Pongsakorn Kwanmuang addressed the corruption case involving bribery to alter exam scores for local civil servant recruitment under the Ministry of Interior. He said that while corruption affecting more than 5,200 candidates has been confirmed, only a few have faced prosecution. Therefore, Pithakdech Dechadecho, Democrat MP for Nakhon Si Thammarat and Chairman of the Anti-Money Laundering and Drug Suppression Committee (AMLC) of the House of Representatives, will investigate this case further, believing more offenders exist. The Anti-Money Laundering Office has stated clearly that this case involves basic money laundering offenses and financial trails can be traced. The Democrat Party emphasizes the importance of tracing the financial flows for all 5,200-plus individuals to bring the guilty to justice.
