Regarding Somnuk Suchaithanawanich, a former senatorial candidate in Group 4, Sukhothai province, who revealed that candidates were asked to sign resignation letters in advance to vote according to the Bhumjaithai Party, Siriphong said he does not know who that person is or if there is any hidden agenda. He has never heard of such claims. In the debate, if accusations arise, evidence would be needed, but usually there is only witness testimony. He noted that nowadays, people often accuse first without proof and verify later. Personally, he believes this issue will not be a major concern for the government to clarify.
On other issues the opposition attacks the government over, he said the government can clarify all. For example, the local exam corruption has existed since 2019; this government discovered and pursued it. Investigations proceed as far as the evidence allows, with names withheld. The approach is straightforward, though sometimes slow or fast, based on evidence, like other cases where accusations were vague. He stressed following legal processes, and whether others believe it is their choice, though many do not. The government's duty is to act correctly. Regarding the 2026 emergency loan decree authorizing the Finance Ministry to borrow 400 billion baht to address the energy crisis and support the country's energy transition, the measures are direct and tangible for the public, not used as an economic stimulus like some past governments. He believes the government can explain this clearly.
When asked whether the government's support is solid, Siriphong replied, There is no problem with government support. The government is confident coalition parties work well together with no issues. As for some parties wanting to join the government, there have been no talks with parties outside the current coalition. Discussions only occur among coalition members to move forward in solving problems for the people.
