On 16 Aug 2026 GMT+7 Mr. Asapol Santraiphop Member of Parliament for Sisaket Province, Bhumjaithai Party In his capacity as Chairman of the House of Representatives' Anti-Corruption and Misconduct Prevention Subcommittee (PACC Subcommittee) he offered encouragement to local government officials preparing for promotion interviews at the Thammasat University Exam Center, wishing them success and fulfillment of their goals.
“Since everyone starts from the same point, ability and determination will decide the outcome. What pleases me greatly about this exam is that all candidates began on equal footing. Those who study diligently, prepare well, and possess knowledge and skills have advanced to the final stage. The highest scorers will earn promotion opportunities as they deserve. This is what the Thai civil service should have had long ago.”
The PACC Subcommittee Chairman added that previously there were issues of bribery and payments exchanged for passing exams or promotions, forcing some individuals to raise large sums of money, with some families going into debt or even considering selling assets, believing they had no chance without paying. Today, we see positive change. Under the leadership of Prime Minister and Interior Minister Anutin Charnvirakul, the government clearly states that corrupt individuals must face legal action regardless of their identity. With clear direction, serious oversight, and cooperation from all parties, the system distorted by corruption is returning to one based on knowledge, ability, and integrity.
“For me, the most important thing is not just punishing cheaters but restoring confidence in future generations that studying hard offers a fair chance to pass, that talent leads to advancement without needing connections or payments, and families need not incur debt to buy their children's futures.
