On 16 Aug 2026 GMT+7, reporters reported that Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul, also leader of the Bhumjaithai Party, spent his holiday visiting Buriram province, where he met with Newin Chidchob, chairman of Buriram United Football Club, and stopped to eat simple street food alongside Traisulee Traisoranakul, the Prime Minister's Secretary-General.
Taking the opportunity, Anutin asked local vendors and residents how business was going and whether their livelihoods had improved. Vendors and residents responded that they appreciated the 'Thai Chuey Thai Plus 60:40' program, because it helped reduce expenses and enabled local shops to increase sales, circulating more money within the community. Hearing this, the Prime Minister smiled and emphasized that anything that truly helps the people will be continued, and he will push forward with additional economic stimulus measures. His holiday was simple—eating, talking, and listening to locals. The atmosphere was lively, with people gradually coming to take photos with Anutin and Newin.
