Anutin led a delegation of 21 top Thai corporate leaders to Australia to present their vision and engage with 53 major companies to attract investment. The Board of Investment (BOI) revealed that over five years, Australian investors have invested more than 33.3 billion baht in Thailand.

On 18 Aug 2026 GMT+7, a reporter in Australia reported that at 16:00 local time in Sydney (3 hours ahead of Thailand), Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul, who also serves as Minister of Interior, was scheduled to preside over the opening of a networking reception between leading Thai and Australian businesses. The event, organized by the Board of Investment (BOI), aims to promote business linkages and create trade and investment opportunities between the Thai and Australian private sectors.

Narut Terdsathiengsak, Secretary-General of the Board of Investment (BOI), disclosed that the networking event gathered over 53 leading Australian companies from sectors including technology, digital, agriculture, automotive, and education. They received direct policy briefings on Thailand’s investment promotion from the Prime Minister, building on strategic cooperation between the two countries.

"Historically, Australia has had relatively few investors in Thailand, but this presents an opportunity to expand future cooperation.
