"Chaiyachonok" said he does not know "Witthaya Kamphuang," mayor of Phonsa Subdistrict, after the People’s Party presented evidence linking the Senate vote-rigging case with the Bhumjaithai Party.
At 10:00 a.m. on 18 August 2026 GMT+7 Chaiyachonok Chidchob, Minister of Digital Economy and Society and secretary-general of the Bhumjaithai Party, gave a brief interview at the Government House Command Building before attending the Cabinet meeting regarding the case in which Prit Wacharasindhu, a party-list Member of Parliament from the People’s Party, revealed evidence linking Witthaya Kamphuang, mayor of Phonsa Subdistrict, Tha Bo District, Nong Khai Province, with the Bhumjaithai Party.
Regarding this, Chaiyachonok said he was not aware of the details and personally did not know who Witthaya was. He then excused himself to attend the Cabinet meeting.
