“Pradorn” dismissed the opposition’s raising of the senatorial collusion issue, stating the government has been in office for six months without any signs of corruption, focusing instead on solving problems. He said he would concentrate on working first and would study and prepare if a censure motion is filed.
At 09:40 on 18 Aug 2026 GMT+7, Pradorn Prissanantakul, Minister attached to the Prime Minister's Office, spoke at Government House regarding the opposition’s preparation to submit a motion for a no-confidence debate. After the parliamentary session opened, he said, "We need to see whether the opposition will submit a no-confidence debate under Section 151 or Section 152; currently, it is still unclear."
Asked about the attempt to bring up the senatorial collusion case in the no-confidence debate, Pradorn said, "As Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul has previously said, this government took office in 2026, while the Anutin 1 government was in 2025. The senatorial collusion case occurred in 2024, so it is unclear what the debate points will be. We have to see the principles and reasons in the motion first."
Regarding the opposition’s claim that corruption will be the main issue in the no-confidence debate, Pradorn stated, "The government has only been in office for six months and has seen no corruption issues, only efforts to resolve problems. As for allegations like corruption in the local civil service exam, it is the Deputy Minister of Interior who has taken up this matter. It did not occur under this government but has been ongoing in exams since 2019."
However, when asked if there would be planning meetings to prepare for the debate, Pradorn replied, "We will work first; if a motion is submitted, we will study and prepare at that time."
