
The Office of the Permanent Secretary for Defense has partnered with Chulalongkorn University's Faculty of Law to develop education, research, and knowledge exchange in legal matters, enhancing the legal expertise of military personnel.
On 18 Aug 2026 GMT+7, General Puttipong Cheepsamut, Director-General of the Legal Affairs Department and representative of the Permanent Secretary for Defense, signed a memorandum of academic cooperation with Associate Professor Dr. Supasit Taweejamsup, Dean of the Faculty of Law at Chulalongkorn University, at the Theptawaravadi Building, Faculty of Law, Chulalongkorn University. Executives and representatives from both organizations witnessed the signing.
This cooperation covers promoting education and training in law, both theoretical and practical, including curriculum development, academic work, and knowledge exchange between the academic institution and security agencies.
Additionally, both parties will jointly organize legal projects and activities, as well as support the creation and development of an academic database to ensure legal education and practice align with changing circumstances. These efforts will be conducted under the laws, regulations, and criteria of each organization. The agreement lasts three years from the signing date, focusing on developing legal personnel of the Office of the Permanent Secretary for Defense and exchanging academic knowledge with Chulalongkorn University's Faculty of Law.
