Worasit is unconcerned as the opposition sets its agenda to file a no-confidence motion over local civil service exam fraud, viewing it as their right to raise questions and affirming his willingness to provide explanations.
At 11:00 a.m. on 19 Aug 2026 GMT+7, at the Government House, Worasit Liangprasert, Deputy Minister of Interior, spoke about the opposition's plan to submit a no-confidence motion against the government, with the issue of local exam fraud expected to be a key topic. He said this is a right and duty of the opposition, and he has no worries since he has handled the matter transparently and has made significant progress. Matters beyond his responsibility have been handed over to the National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC) and police to continue legal proceedings.
When asked about the opposition focusing on local exam fraud as a major issue in the debate, Worasit said it is acceptable because the problem did exist previously and they have taken action. He emphasized that it is the opposition’s right to raise questions, and as the overseer, he has a duty to provide explanations.
