
Warawut chaired the 94th anniversary memorial ceremony for Banharn Silpa-archa, attended by numerous politicians, alumni of the Chart Thai Party, and government officials. The Banharn-Jamsai Foundation awarded scholarships totaling 1.87 million baht to 14 educational institutions.
On 19 Aug 2026 at Prasat Thong Temple, Mueang District, Suphanburi, the Silpa-archa family held the 94th anniversary memorial ceremony for Banharn Silpa-archa, the 21st Prime Minister, on his birthday. The event followed the motto "Truthfulness and Gratitude are the Blessings of Life." Warawut Silpa-archa, Minister of Industry, presided over the ceremony. Attendees included Kanjana Silpa-archa, leader of the Chart Thai Pattana Party, Warawut’s children, Nikorn Jamnong, a party-list MP from Bhumjaithai Party, Somsak Prisanantakul, former Deputy Speaker of the House, Theera Wongsamut, former Minister of Agriculture and Cooperatives, Werasak Vijitsangsri, Senator, Sorchad Sujit, Suphanburi MP for Bhumjaithai Party, Nattapong Sanguanjit, Governor of Suphanburi, Police Major General Watcharin Prasopdee, Commander of Suphanburi Provincial Police, Udom Prongfa, Suphanburi Provincial Administrative Organization (PAO) Chief Executive, PAO Deputy Chief Executive, PAO council members, Nattapon Rangsitphon, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Industry, and senior Ministry of Industry officials. Many family members and attendees wore light blue shirts, Banharn’s birth color.
The ceremony included religious rites with 10 monks chanting Buddhist scriptures, offering alms, presenting monk requisites, and dedicating robes. Afterwards, Warawut, as vice chairman of the Banharn-Jamsai Silpa-archa Foundation, awarded 14 scholarships totaling 1.87 million baht to 14 schools in Suphanburi. The event concluded with a commemorative group photo and a shared lunch.
