Announcement Declares Drugs Containing Fluoride 5000 ppm for Oral Use as Hazardous Drugs

Effective today (19 Aug), the Ministry of Public Health has declared drugs containing "Fluoride 5000 ppm for oral use" as hazardous drugs.


On 18 August 2026, the Government Gazette website publishedthe Ministry of Public Health Announcement on Hazardous Drugs No. 37.Signed by Mr. Patthana Promphat, Minister of Public Health, announced on 6 August 2026, stating that

under the authority of Section 76 (3) of the Drug Act B.E. 2510, as amended by the Drug Act (No. 3) B.E. 2522, the Minister of Public Health, following the advice of the Drug Committee at its 430-1/2569 meeting on 26 January 2026, issues the following announcement.

Article 1: This announcement shall take effect from the day after its publication in the Government Gazette (19 August 2026) onward.

Article 2 The following shall be added as item (80) to Article 3 of the Ministry of Public Health Announcement on Hazardous Drugs dated 26 May 1978:

“(80) Drugs containing fluoride at 5000 parts per million (5000 ppm) for oral use.”
