Prasit No-tha, MP from the Kla Tham Party, visited Wiang Sa to monitor water levels and stressed readiness to help residents immediately in case of emergencies.
On 19 Aug 2026 GMT+7, Mr. Prasit No-tha, MP for Nan Province from the Kla Tham Party, along with the mayor of Wiang Sa municipality and relevant officials, visited Wiang Sa district in Nan Province to monitor heavy rain conditions and assess water levels, especially at the high-risk area of Ban Lai Nan in Lai Nan subdistrict, to prepare for timely assistance to residents should emergencies arise.
Mr. Prasit stated that the continuous heavy rainfall has kept water levels in the area at concerning levels requiring close monitoring, particularly at risk points vulnerable to flash floods. He and the Wiang Sa municipal team and officials promptly inspected water levels to prepare response plans and provide timely help to local residents.
“When people are suffering, what matters most is not just concern but being on the ground alongside them and ready to solve problems. Our team continues to monitor the situation closely. If any area becomes at risk or an emergency occurs, we will coordinate with officials to provide rapid assistance,” said Mr. Prasit.
Mr. Prasit added that residents in Wiang Sa district and nearby risk areas should increase caution and closely follow weather updates, especially at night when water levels may change rapidly. He encouraged anyone affected by the water situation to contact his team immediately for help coordination and wished all families safety to overcome this crisis.
