The Royal Gazette published a decree in which the King appointed Her Majesty the Queen as Honorary Chairperson of the Queen Sirikit Park Foundation's Advisory Board and named General Prayut Chan-o-cha as Chairman of the Board.
On 22 August 2026, the Royal Gazette website published a decree appointing the board of the Queen Sirikit Park Foundation, stating that His Majesty King Vajiralongkorn Bodindradebayavarangkun has graciously commanded this announcement.
The Queen Sirikit Park Foundation was established with the purpose of creating a public park designed as a natural forest garden, dedicated to Her Majesty Queen Sirikit on the occasion of her 60th birthday in 1992. It serves as a recreational area for the public, a repository for plant conservation as a complete botanical garden, and promotes academic research in botany. The foundation also aims to instill an appreciation for nature conservation among youth and the public, continuing Her Majesty’s steadfast commitment to advancing and supporting the foundation's work for the benefit and stability of the public.
Under the authority of Article 9 of the foundation’s bylaws, His Majesty has graciously appointed the new board of the Queen Sirikit Park Foundation as follows.
