23 Aug 2026 GMT+7 Mr. Natthapong Ruangpanyawut Member of Parliament (party-list) and leader of the Prachachon Party posted a message viaFacebookregarding the unrest in the southern border provinces on the night of 22 August, condemning the violence in Narathiwat, Yala, and Pattani, which included bombings, tire burnings, and multiple arson attacks, resulting in injuries and causing fear among local residents.
"The use of violence against innocent civilians, officials, or public property is unacceptable. I send my support to those injured, families affected, officials on duty, and the residents facing this violent situation tonight."
Mr. Natthapong further stated that the government must urgently review its strategy to resolve unrest in the southern border provinces to control the situation and ensure the safety of innocent people, who deserve to live securely wherever they are. He concluded by expressing his support for all residents and officials working in the area.
