The government is advancing "Traffy EDU" to upgrade the reporting of incidents in schools from students, teachers, and parents, sending cases immediately to responsible authorities, with plans to connect to the central EduPass platform by January next year.
On 24 August 2026, Second Lieutenant Phatdarasmi Thongsaluaykorn, Deputy Spokesperson of the Office of the Prime Minister, revealed that the government is accelerating the enhancement of child protection and safety in schools by promoting the "Traffy EDU" system as a digital channel to report incidents and problems from students, parents, teachers, and educational staff, enabling rapid forwarding to responsible agencies for targeted assistance.
The launch of Traffy EDU is linked to the establishment of the Ministry of Education's Rights and Freedoms Protection Center, which aims to create safe spaces in schools. Students, teachers, and educational personnel can report complaints openly and accessibly. In the short term, the Ministry of Education will initially implement this system before integrating it into the Super App "EduPass" in the longer term.
The Deputy Spokesperson of the Office of the Prime Minister stated that Traffy EDU will serve as a key channel to assist those affected in their rights, safety, and quality of life within schools. This includes bullying, violence, sexual harassment, drug issues, mental health problems, or other issues where children, teachers, and parents seek help. The system will reduce gaps between those affected and government agencies, allowing for systematic assistance and problem follow-up.
The Ministry of Education has conducted online training nationwide for relevant officials to enable them to receive reports, screen urgency levels, coordinate agencies, and follow up according to uniform standards. The government prioritizes personal data protection (PDPA), confidentiality, and cybersecurity.
Looking ahead, plans include enhancing the complaint channels of the Rights and Freedoms Protection Center by integrating Traffy EDU into the Super App "EduPass," the Ministry of Education's central platform. This will enable students, teachers, and staff to access various services more easily through a single Digital ID, with connection expected by January 2027.
Moreover, the future system will focus on securely linking data between agencies to ensure continuous assistance for children, such as coordinating mental health and medical care with the Ministry of Public Health, connecting social welfare for vulnerable families, and issuing emergency alerts in violent situations via the Cell Broadcast system.
