24 Aug 2026 GMT+7 Social Security Office Ministry of Labour revealed The procedures for exercising voting rights to elect employer representatives and insured persons' representatives to serve as members of the Social Security Board on 27 September 2026. Eligible voters can verify the voter list before voting, know the required identification, the steps for receiving ballots, and how to cast votes properly to prepare and prevent ballots from becoming invalid.
For voters who go to vote at the polling station, they must present identification to the election officials, such as an ID card, driver's license, or government-issued card. Electronic identification via government apps like the electronic ID card (ThaID), digital driver's license (DLT), or electronic disability card is also acceptable.
For legal entity employers, the voter must present the mentioned ID along with a certificate of company registration issued within the last six months and a power of attorney if the entity has more than one authorized person. One authorized representative can cast a vote on behalf of only one legal entity.
Once the officials verify the documents and confirm identity, the voter will receive ballots, with the "blue ballot" used to elect employer representatives, and the "pink ballot" used to elect insured persons' representatives. Voters must sign or print their right thumbprint at the ballot stub before entering the booth to mark their vote.
Votes must be cast by writing the candidate's Arabic numeral in the voting box, with only one number per box and a maximum of seven numbers per ballot. Voters must be careful not to make any marks or symbols other than Arabic numerals, as this could invalidate the ballot. If a voter chooses not to vote for any candidate, they may mark an X in the 'no vote' box, then fold the ballot and personally place it in the ballot box.
