Cabinet Secretary Confirms No Postponement of Mobile Cabinet Meeting in Songkhla Despite Southern Border Unrest

Cabinet Secretary Natthajari stated that the mobile Cabinet meeting in Songkhla has not been postponed despite unrest in the southern border provinces. She added she has not yet seen any proposals when asked about appointments and transfers in the Ministry of Interior.


At 09:25 on 25 August 2026 GMT+7, Ms. Natthajari Anantasilp, Cabinet Secretary, spoke at Government House regarding clarity on organizing the first mobile Cabinet meeting of 2026 in Songkhla Province, scheduled for 31 August to 1 September 2026, following ongoing unrest in the southern border areas, saying it remains normal and has not been postponed.

When asked if the frequent incidents in the area worry the Cabinet, Ms. Natthajari said they are awaiting Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul’s decision, and currently there is no postponement. When further asked if today's Cabinet meeting includes proposals for high-level civil service appointments or transfers in the Ministry of Interior, she said she has not yet seen such matters and expects clarity after the Cabinet meeting.
