
Prime Minister Anutin has approached General Chaipruk, Chief of Army Staff, to serve as Secretary of the National Security Council. The general is ready to accept the role without any stress.
On 25 Aug 2026 GMT+7, government sources revealed that Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul, who also serves as Minister of Interior, has approached General Chaipruk Duangprapat, Chief of Army Staff, to assume the position of Secretary of the National Security Council (NSC). This was coordinated and discussed through General Pana Klaewplodtuk, Commander-in-Chief of the Army.
Additional sources disclosed that General Chaipruk gladly accepted and humbly agreed to transfer to the role of NSC Secretary as requested, without any stress or concern about moving to the new position. He emphasized that serving the nation is possible regardless of the agency or department, and this transfer is neither problematic nor a major issue.
